Liberal Party demands lift state of emergency

The Liberal Party demanded Wednesday the government lifts the present
‘state of internal commotion’ and accused the administration of wanting
to push through parts of the canceled judicial reforms, now it has the
temporary power to bypass congress.

The government had called the state of emergency to force striking judicial workers back to work.

The Liberal Party says the Government didn’t need such drastic measures to end the strike and thinks the government is abusing the special state of emergency to launch a number of laws that were part of the controversial and withdrawn judicial reform.
