Nearly 4,000 girls and boys have demobilized from Colombian
paramilitaries and guerrilla groups since a program for minors began in
1999. A third were 15-years-old or younger.

Of the 3,750 demobilized minors, including 289 so far this year, more than one in four were girls and 1,246 were 15-years-old or younger, reported La F.m.

“The
ICBF”–the Spanish intials of the Colombian Institute of Family
