Justice Minister’s brother to be sent to jail

A Colombian judge Wednesday revoked the house arrest of Guillermo
Valencia Cossio, former director of Medellín’s prosecution and brother
of Interior and Justice Minister Fabio Valencia Cossio.

According to the judge, the temporary house arrest of Valencia is inappropriate considering the crimes he is suspected of.

The former director of Medellín’s prosecution is suspected of having done favors for alleged drug lord and paramilitary chief Daniel ‘Don Mario’ Rendón.
