Junior and Cali to kick off semi final stage

by Jonathan Roorda November 18, 2008

The semi final stage of the Colombian Copa Mustang II, which actually
consists of two groups of four, begins next Saturday with the clash
between Junior Barranquilla and Deportivo Cali.

Assuming that there won’t be any last-minute chances, Medellin and regular season winners Tolima face off later that day.

The action continues on Sunday with América de Cali hosting Pereira and Atlético Nacional travelling to Bogotá to meet with La Equidad.

During this stage, teams will also be meeting on Wednesdays to limit the amount of time needed to point out which two sides win their respective groups and advance to the final.

For those interested in local derbies, here is a quick overview of de Medellín and Cali classics:

Nov. 26 Nacional – Medellín
Nov. 26 Cali – América
Dec. 05 Medellín – Nacional
Dec. 05 América – Cali
