Judge cancels court confrontation between narco-model and informer

A courtroom confrontation due to happen Wednesday between alleged model-turned-drug baron Angie Sanclemente and the dealer who informed on her, Ariel Letizia, was canceled by the Argentine judge overseeing the case.

The model’s lawyer,Guillermo Tiscornia, had requested the appearance of the informant in court, but was denied by the judge presiding over the case, Rafael Caputo.

Tisconia told the press that the informant had negotiated an agreement with authorities for his release in exchange for information related to the case, and didn’t want to be seen in court with Sanclemente.

According to local Argentine media, Letizia is the person who gave the police testimony about how Sanclemente’s narcotics trafficking scheme operated, where various “nice, but not flashy” model girls would transport cocaine in their luggage to various locations around the world every 24 hours at $US 5 thousand per voyage.

Also, according to La Nacion, Letizia tried to flee after being detained by police by jumping off the second story balcony in the building where he was being kept.
