by Adriaan Alsema May 14, 2010

Colombia news - Juanes world cup

Colombian singer Juanes will be performing at the June 10 inauguration of the 2010 World Cup in South Africa, the singer’s website announced.

The singer will perform “Yerbatero,” the first single of his upcoming album of which the title is still unknown. The album is set to be released in October this year.

On the same day as the Johannesburg concert, the single will be distributed to radiostations in 62 countries and be for sale on iTunes.

Juanes is not the only Colombian singer involved in the most important event in the world of soccer; Shakira was picked to sing the event’s official song.
