Juanes to perform at charity gig for Haiti

Colombian crooner Juanes announced he will take part in a celebrity studded charity concert to be held in the Dominican Republic in April to raise money for earthquake stricken Haiti.

Juanes will be joined by Spanish artists Alejandro Sanz and Miguel Bose, Puerto Rican Luis Fonsi and Dominicians Milly Quezada, Maridalia Hernandez and Johnny Ventura.

The concert, titled “A Song of Hope for Haiti” will be held April 18 at Santo Domingo’s Olympic Stadium and is being organized by the Sur Futuro Foundation.

The proceeds of the charity gig will go towards building a Children’s Hospital in Haiti.

The Caribbean nation was devastated by an 7.0-magnitude earthquake on January 12.
