Colombian singer Juanes released his new single “Yerbatero” to coincide with the opening ceremony of the FIFA World Cup in Johannesburg.

After giving fans a tantalizing 20-second taste of the track last month, Juanes released the single in all its glory on Thursday, when it was made available to 62 radio stations worldwide.

The award-winning singer dedicated the new track, which is his first release in almost three years, “those who suffer from the terrible evil of love.”

“Yerbatero” is the first track to be taken off the singer’s new album, which he has been working on in London with legendary producer Stephen Lipson, who has worked with Paul McCartney, Annie Lennox and Jeff Beck. The as-yet unnamed album is due to be released in the fall.

Juanes’ single is available for purchase from iTunes.
