Juanes records new album for MTV Unplugged

After months of rehearsal, Colombian rock legend Juanes recorded a new acoustic album for MTV Unplugged Wednesday, reported local media.

Long-awaited album “Unplug with Juanes,” recorded in Miami Beach, Florida, contains 16 songs.

It includes two previously unreleased tracks that were composed with Guerra, as well as collaborations with the Brazilian singer Paula Fernandes and Spanish music legend, Joaquin Sabina.

The superstar also recorded a song with fan Emmanuela Belleza, who won an all-expenses-paid trip to Miami to perform on the album.

In 2010, Billboard magazine named Juanes as the “star of the decade.” He’s sold more than 15 million albums world-wide and has won than 17 Latin Grammy awards.

“Unplug with Juanes” will be available on MTV, VH1, and Tr3s in Brazil, Spain, and the U.S. in May 2012.
