Juanes plays with Elmo on Sesame Street

Colombian singer Juanes visited the set of Sesame Street in New York to teach children Spanish words.

The pop artist filmed an episode for the popular children’s television program with furry friends Elmo and Rosita. In the episode, which will air in September this year, he sings the song “Manos, cabeza y pies,” to help teach children the Spanish words for the body parts hands, head and feet.

“For me it’s an honor to be here because this is something that you practically grow up with. It is an honor to be with all the characters,” said Juanes.

The singer confessed he has started watching the show with his three young children, Luna, Paloma and Dante, Terra reported.

The long running children’s program also recently featured fellow Colombian actress Sofia Vergara and Hispanic comedian George Lopez.

Juanes completed his “P.A.R.C.E.” tour of the U.S. in Washington D.C. on Sunday and will now return to Colombia for a two week break before heading to Europe.
