Juanes launches new single

Colombian rock star Juanes has launched the single “Today I’m Going,” a duet with Brazilian songstress Paula Fernandes from his new acoustic album, “MTV Unplugged Juanes.”

The release came as Juanes’ hit single, “The Sign,” remains high on the Latin Billboard charts, Colombian radio station La FM reported.

“Today I’m Going” was originally released on the album “The Very Best,” but this pared-down version features simple piano arrangements under the blended voices of Fernandes and Juanes.

Ties between the pair stretch back to when the then up-and-coming Brazilian translated Juanes’ songs into Portuguese. Her 2011 live album “Paula Fernandes – Ao Vivo” sold 2,000,000 copies.

The new song hit airwaves ahead of his new album’s May 29 release date and a live performance of the album set for May 27 on MTV Latin America.

Last week Juanes announced that his upcoming world tour beginning in August will include stops in Mexico, Europe and Latin America.
