In an interview published by press agency Notimex, Juanes said he “very much appreciates what Colombian artists are doing and the way their music is going. What that is conserned, Shakira and I have come the same way.”He added that, because of the same background, they were able to open doors for other Colombian artsists like Carlos Vives. “Although we have a different conception of music. Both are valid. There is no confrontation with Shakira and there never will be one.” said Juanes.During Juanes’ Peace Without Borders concert last sunday, Shakira wasn’t present, unlike other big South American and Spanish popstars.
