Jamaica and San Andres sign ‘brotherhood’ agreement

The government of the Caribbean department of the San Andres Archipelago signed an ‘agreement of brotherhood’ with the municipality of Kingston, Jamaica.

The agreement is designed to reignite commercial, touristic, cultural and agricultural ties between the two Caribbean islands.

The document was signed by San Andres Governor Pedro Gallardo Forbes and Kingston Mayor Senator Desmond Mckenzie in a ceremony in San Andres.
both parties agreed not to allow time or distance to break down the agreement.

The Colombian Governor said it was crucial for the two communities to remain in close contact beacuse they share a common ancestory.
