Jaime Dussan, new President of Polo Democratico

Senator Jaime Dussan was Thursday announced as the new president of the Polo Democratico Alternativo.

Dussan replaces former leader Carlos Gaviria who resigned recently to run for the leftist party’s candidacy for the 2010 Presidential Election.

Polo Democratico is one of the two bigger opposition parties. The
second one is the Liberal Party of former President Cesar Gaviria.
