Italy investigates Botero for tax evasion

Colombian artist Fernando Botero is investigated by Italian justice on
possible tax fraud. He is suspected of owing the Italian State 7
million euro (US$9,9 million).

Italian financial Police asked the Prosecution in the Lucca province where Botero has lived over the past few years to start an official investigation. They say Botero bought a house in tax paradise Monaco to avoid paying taxes in Italy where he really lives.

If guilty, Botero could end up in jail.
