International book fair underway in Bogota

The 25th edition of Bogota’s International Book Fair (FILBO) brings book lovers, distributors and publishers to Colombia’s capital, with Brazil named as this year’s guest of honor.

The event will take place at the Corferias Exhibition Center, with dozens of pavilions hosting a variety of themes and activities.

The fair runs until May 1 and the pavilion attractions are as follows:

Pavilion 1

Level 1: University publications.
Level 2: Comics and illustrations.

Pavilion 3

Level 1: National and international works.
Level 2: University publications.

Pavilion 4

This year’s guest of honor, Brazil. A retrospective featuring the works of late Lusophone writers Cora Coralina and Clarice Lispector.

Pavilion 6

Level 1: National and international works.
Level 2: State and government publications.

Pavilion 8

Level 1: Technical publications. 
Level 2: Exhibition of late Colombian poet Rafael Pombo’s works.

Pavilions 11 to 16

Children’s literature.

Pavilion 17

Educational and training materials.

Pavilions 20 and 21

Colsubsidio Youth Hall which will host workshops and art exhibits for young people.

Pavilions 22 and 23

Dedicated to Rafael Pombo.Will include readings, painting and musical concerts for children.
