Inspector General wants former DAS director indicted

Colombia’s Inspector General’s Office requested the country’s
Prosecutor General to indict former secret service director Jorge
Noguera for his alleged support of paramilitary organization AUC.

According to the Inspector General, there is enough evidence to move forward and indict Noguera, even though there also are still many questions unanswered about the exact ties between the former DAS director and the AUC.

The ex-director of the secret service already spent time in jail while his case was pending in the Supreme Court, but was released because of irregularities in the process.
