Indigenous say girls are kidnapped for sex

Colombian indigenous minors are kidnapped to be forced to work as prostitutes, indigenous organization ONIC said Sunday.

According to ONIC chairman Luis Evelis Andrade, there have been several cases of girls between the age of 12 and 14 who disappear for a few days and are forced to commit sex acts and sell drugs. In other cases, the girls disappear and never return, added ONIC investigator Jesus Flores.

The incidents are particularly common in the southern Guaviare department, the indigenous representatives told Caracol Radio.
