Indigenous murdered in front of his family

Unknown men assassinated an indigenous man from Cauca before the eyes of his family, the local indigenous governor said Monday.

According to Cauca governor Ulpiano Filamo, relatives of the victim told him that “five hooded men arrived, held them at gunpoint and immediately shot killed Jose Wilson Ramon.”

The victim had not received any threats, the governor said. According to him, groups of hooded men started appearing  recently and already have assassinated a number of indigenous.

According to W Radio, 63 indigenous were assassinated this year so far.
