IMF confident in Colombia’s economy

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) praised Colombia’s economic policy
and says it is confident it will be able to confront the economic
crisis that hit the world in recent months, Caracol Radio reported Tuesday.

According to the macro-economic watchdog, the good economic performance of the country in recent years secures a relatively comfortable position to overcome the problems arising from the financial crisis.

The IMF praised Colombia’s flexibility in dealing with monetary changes, saying this has helped sustain Colombia’s stability’s market.

The IMF hopes Colombia will continue to respond timely and flexibly to possible new problems that come from the global crisis.
