IDB loans Colombia $1 billion

The Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) announced a $1 billion loan to finance Colombian infrastructure, reported W Radio Thursday.

The medium-term loan will pay for national roadwork projects, IDB President Luis Alberto Moreno told the media.

Moreno referenced the thriving Colombian economy.

Colombia however is substantially in need of capital and work on environmental issues, the bank president said.
