Huila farmer thinks two-headed calf is gift from God

by Adriaan Alsema July 31, 2009

Colombia news - Jennifer

A cow in the central Colombia Huila department gave birth to a two-headed calf, international media reported Friday.

The abnormal calf was born in a village called Rivera in the Huila department.

The cow’s owner, farmer Marino Cabrera, claims he never saw anything like Jennifer in his life.

“She’s a very cute thing, beautiful, I see her as a pretty thing that
God sent, he sent her as she is,” Rosario Leyva, the wife of the farm’s
caretaker, told local television reporters.

Scientists however, doubt a divine intervention and call the special condition Polycephaly.

The farmer built a special hammock for the calf to rest it’s twice-as-heavy head.
