The announced release of six hostages by the FARC will take place
inside Colombia. Where exactly will not be disclosed, Yves Heller of
the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) said Saturday.
Heller said that for the safety of the hostages and the persons involved in the release, he will not disclose the exact location of the pick up.
According to the ICRC, the pick up will be facilitated by Brazilian helicopters and Brazilian pilots.
The ICRC says to have confidential contact with the FARC directly about the release.
There’s still inclarity about the foreign observer that, according to demands of the guerrillas, should be part of the commission to manage the release of the hostages. The Colombian government rejects any foreign interference in the matter.
