Hooligans must be tried as terrorists: Cambio Radical

Hooligans who commit violence during soccer matches should be punished
as terrorists, a Colombian coalition Representative proposed on Monday.

Juan Carlos Granados,
Representative for coalition party Cambio Radical, asked Congress to amend the country’s ‘Crimes against Public Order’ bill and punish acts of violence or disturbance associated with sporting events with jail sentences up to 15 years and fines between US$250 thousand and US$2.5 million.

Colombian football matches are regularly disturbed by riots or fighting between fans.
