‘HH’ sentenced to another 6 years in prison

Former paramilitary leader Hebert ‘HH’ Veloza was sentenced to six
years and thee months in jail Monday for the murder on a peasant in 1995.

The
sentence is added to the nine years imprisonment the former AUC head
already was convicted to.

The former leader of the Calima and Bananero blocs of demobilized paramilitary organization AUC had confessed the murder of Pacheco Humberto Castillo during one of the hearings before a special Justice and Peace prosecutor.

‘HH’ and other paramilitary leaders had agreed to confess their crimes and repair their victims to avoid extradition to the United States. Veloza is one of the only paramilitary leaders not extradited to the United States. He is suspected to be responsibel for the deaths of thousands of Colombians.
