‘HH’ next paramilitary chief to be extradited

The government now is waiting for approval from Colombia’s Supreme Court for the extradition. Colombian President Álvaro Uribe already took ‘HH’ off the list of paramilitaries that can benefit from the Justice and Peace law, after he “continued to commit offenses after he was captured by the authorities”.Wednesday the Colombian government allowed the immediate extradition of almost all paramilitary bosses. At least 13 of them now are in the United States awaiting trial for producing and trafficking drugs. After the extradition of ‘HH’, only two AUC bosses remain in Colombian jails. The U.S. never asked to extradite paramilitary bosses Ernesto Báez and Ramón Isaza Arango.
