Gunmen assassinate judge investigating military crimes

Gunmen on a motorcycle have killed a judge investigating military crimes in central Colombia.

Authorities have offered a $5,000 reward for information leading to the capture of those who murdered Reyes Castellones as he travelled in a car in Granada, Meta department.

Reyes, 43, was shot in the chest and face, and died soon after in the regional hospital.

An Army statement said, “We deeply regret this event, for which our institution and the Military Justice department is in mourning.”
