Two guerrillas and a boy died Sunday when the rebels were arming a
motorcycle with explosives in Tame, Arauca, where Colombian President Alvaro
Uribe is attending Independence Day celebrations.
Authorities say two other guerrillas were arrested just outside Tame as they were loading explosives into a car.
Police and Army have increased security in and around Tame, a town in an area with a high guerrilla presence, because of the Independence Day celebrations that are attended by the President and the highest military commanders.
Sunday two airplanes mysteriously disappeared a 100 miles north of Tame. Authorities are still looking for those airplanes, cautious they may be used in terrorist attacks on the President.
