Grammy Awards TV spot kicks off Shakira’s pre-order album sale

A TV spot promoting superstar Shakira’s new self-titled album premiered Sunday night at the 2014 Grammy Awards, kicking off the pre-order sale for the Colombian’s new release to US customers.

The 36-year-old pop star is partnering with US retail giant Target to market a ‘deluxe edition’ of her album, which includes three exclusive bonus tracks. The album will be in Target stores on March 25 but is now available to pre-order at Target locations and on the company’s website.

According to Shakira’s Facebook page, the ‘deluxe edition’ will soon be available outside of the United States through other retailers.

She also took to Facebook to express her excitement about the album’s March release. “I’m so happy that I will soon be sharing my latest album with you all, something I’ve been working on for over two years now,” she said.

Directed by Marc Klasfeld, the video for her new commercial was shot in a small town outside of Barcelona, Spain, where the Colombian is currently living.

Shakira premiered the first single off the album — “Can’t Remember To Forget You,” featuring Rihanna — earlier this month.
