Gordon Ramsay disses Colombian sweet stuff

by Adriaan Alsema August 5, 2010

Colombia news - Sofia Vergara Gordon Ramsay

English television chef Gordon Ramsay clashed with Colombian actress Sofia Vergara on Wednesday’s Tonight Show over the gastronomic value of ‘arequipe,’ a typical Colombian far-too-sweet stuff.

According to the ever-so-rude Brit, dulce de leche “tastes like f***ing fudge.”

Sofia Vergara — also Colombian and also sweet — was left baffled after the connaisseur’s explicit diss.

Host Jay Leno — seemingly lying through his teeth — told Vergara “it was the most delicious desert I ever had. It was fantastic,” after which the show moved on to less important things and an intercontinental war was prevented.
