First day for Colombia’s new ambassador to US

Former Defense Minister Gabriel Silva on Monday began his job as Colombia’s Ambassador to Washington.

Colombian President Juan Manuel Santos appointed Silva as the new Colombian Ambassador to the United States following the elections.

The Colombian ambassador still has to submit the appropriate credentials to the United States government, according to newscast CM&.
