The singer Checo Acosta said that Joe Arroyo’s wife blocked him from visiting his critically ill old friend in the hospital.
Acosta and several musicians, including Juan Piña, Chelito de Castro, and members of the band “Bananas,” visited the Barranquilla clinic where Arroyo is a patient on Tuesday afternoon.
Arroyo’s wife, Acosta claims, forbid the group from seeing Joe.
“Of course I’m hurt,” said Acosta, “I’ve known Joe long before other people did. I was a teenager with him, I was part of his band, I sang with him, I know his life”.
The salsa singer was hospitalized 16 days ago and is in critical condition.
