Friday’s marches in Bogotá, Medellín and Cali

Colombians all over the country are expected to march this Friday to
demand the liberation of the approximately 2,800 hostages in the
country. Here’s some information on where to go in Bogotá, Medellín and Cali if you want to join.

Bogotá:

Authorities and organizers determined seven locations in the city where the march will begin. All marches will then head to the Plaza Bolivar. The marches will start moving at 10AM.

  • Calle 72 / Carrera 7
  • National Park
  • Tunal Park
  • El Tintal Library
  • Hospital of Hortúa
  • Suba Park

Medellín:

Authorities and organizers in Medellín organized marches from five different locations that all will meet at La Alpujarra, where the local and departmental government is located. The marches will start moving at 10AM.

Start locations:

  • Pablo Tobón Theater
  • Parque del Poblado
  • Parque de Belén
  • Primer Parque de Laureles
  • Parque de la Paz

Cali:

Cali city authorities stick to the exact same scenario as used for the previous marches and only have one main march that will end at the city’s Municipal Administrative center CAM. Events at the Plazoleta de San Francisco will start at 9AM. The actual march begins at 10AM.
