Free Trade talks begin in Lima

The second round of free trade agreement negotiations between Colombia, Perú, Ecuador and the European Union began in Lima Tuesday.

This round consists of a series of 13 round table talks and will run from March 23 to 28. Topics on the agenda include Intellectual Property, Services and Establishment and Movement of Capital.

If the talks are successful, Colombian industries such as agriculture and textiles would have greater access to European markets.

The South American and European countries hope to conclude talks in June, by which time they will have completed four rounds of negotiations.
