Footage leading up to French journalist’s capture to be released

French news network France 24 will air the documentary “Caught in the Crossfire”, shot by French journalist Romeo Langlois immediately before his capture by the FARC in April.

The news network released a preview of the documentary on their website today, which appeared to show the Colombian army engaged in fighting with FARC rebels. The video also showed what appears to be a Colombian army sergeant getting killed by a bullet.

France 24 did not elaborate on whether or not the documentary would also include images from Langlois’ time in captivity and release.

Langlois was captured April 28 when the military unit he was embedded with came under guerrilla fire, wounding him in the arm. He was released May 30.

The documentary will air on Wednesday June 20th at 21:10 (GMT+2) on France 24.
