Four ‘FARC’ killed in clashes with Colombia’s military

Colombia’s armed forces killed four guerrillas, captured one, and uncovered a large weapons cache in clashes with alleged FARC guerrillas on the Venezuela border.

According to newspaper El Espectador, security forces seized a cache of more than 7,000 rounds of ammunition, as well six rifles, one pistol, and explosives.

A 20-year-old female insurgent voluntarily surrendered herself to soldiers, according to reports.

The fighting allegedly took place in the Teorama municipality and was carried out by a military task force in charge of weakening FARC structures in the Catatumbo sub-region of Norte de Santander.
