According to Medina, Avendaño received in between 200 and 400 million Colombian peso (US$106 – 212 thousand) to vote in favor of the constitutional change to make the immediate re-election of the President possible.President Uribe and some former and current members of the administration are also under investigation for their part in the alleged bribery.
