Former Minister called for questioning about FARC-politics

Former minister and presidential candidate Álvaro Leyva is called for
questioning about his alleged ties to the FARC. E-mail conversations
between him and slain rebel commander Raúl Reyes would prove that.

The politician will have to explain to the Prosecution why he had contact with the FARC. If the Prosecution thinks it has enough evidence, the former presidential candidate could be put on trial for rebellion.

Leyva is one of a number of politicians and journalists accused of having friendly ties to the marxist rebels.
