Former Arauca governer ordered 50 people killed: the Twin

Former Arauca governor Julio Enrique Acosta Bernal gave paramilitary
death squads a list with the names of fifty people the governor wanted
killed, former paramilitary and drug trafficker Miguel Ángel ‘The Twin’ Mejía Múnera
told prosecutors.

The Twin — whose layer was arrested Monday for trying to bring a master key for handcuffs to her client –said the former governor gave the list to ‘Cúcuta’, a paramilitary who was then given the orders to carry out the murders on these supposed FARC supporters.

Among those who ended up being murdered were the ombudsman of the department and the coordinator of hospitals in the department.

According to the Twin, the governor himself was the leader of the Aurauca Bloc of the paramilitaries.
