5 murdered in Cali slaughter

Members of an alleged drug gang murdered five people Thursday in a massacre that has shaken the city of Cali, various media reported.

Caracol Radio reported that authorities are offering nearly $30,000 for information leading to the capture of 13 suspects, allegedly belonging to a drug micro-trafficking gang, responsible for the attack.

According to the radio station, the suspected motorcyclist pulled up to a soccer field in El Poblado Thursday night and began shooting at a group of youths.

Four people aged 18-25 were murdered on the field as well as one more person who was killed by the group of criminal motorcyclists as they escaped. Five people were also injured in the shooting.

No arrests have reportedly been made so far but police are currently analyzing sketches of the suspects.
