Five more medals on final day of Inline Skating Championships

 

Colombia have won the overall rankings of the World Inline Skating
Championships in Spain, with another three Golden Medals added to their
tally on Saturday.

On the last day of the championships, hosted by the north-Spanish town
of Gijón, the Colombians were once again successful.Pedro Causil earned
his third medal and his second Gold of the tournament by winning the
500 meters for juniors, while Jorge Luis Cifuentes occupied the top
spot at the 1.000 meters for seniors.

The third and final Golden Medal
was secured by the men’s junior team on the 3.000 meters event.With
these three medals, and another two Silver medals that were also
clinched on the final day, Colombia’s first place in the overall
classification was never threatened.

The Colombians collected nine
Golden medals, four Silver medals and four Bronze medals, to make a
total of seventeen.

The South Koreans follow in second place with
fourteen medals, and the United States are third with twelve medals.
