Five military and five guerrillas die in La Línea

According to the army the fighting started after the army found a group of rebels trying to take control of the road connecting Bogotá with Buenaventura, Colombia’s most important Pacific port, handling almost half the country’s foreign trade.The fighting occurred one day after the Tour of Colombia passed La Línea and one day before many Colombians are expected to travel the road, because of a long weekend.The killed guerrillas were handed over to the Prosecutor’s Office for identification.
