Five members of one family murdered in Valle, baby left alive

Unknown assassins murdered five members of one family in a village in
Valle del Cauca, local authorities said Saturday. The youngest child, a
two-year old girl, was left unharmed.

The victims, the parents and their three underage children, reportedly were killed Friday evening in Monterrey, a village 35 kilometers from Buga. Authorities discovered the youngest of the four children, a two-year old girl, unharmed next to the body of her mother.

According to local authorities, the victims were killed by knives and guns.

The Prosecutor General’s Office immediately started an investigation into the massacre.
