Five people died and another ten were injured in a bus accident on the motorway from Cali to Buenaventura.
According to local authorities, the bus crashed because of mechanical failure. “The driver lost control of the brakes and crashed against a containment wall,” Highway Police commander Luis Alberto Montenegro said.
The accident killed three men and two women. Two of the injured were in critical condition when taken to a Cali hospital.
