Financial sector posts earnings of $31.51B for 2010

The Colombian financial sector earned $31.51 billion in 2010, newspaper La Republica reported Friday.

This result corresponds for the most part to the posted gains of pension funds and credit facilities, of $15.71 billion and $5.91 billion respectively.

Despite the improvement on results from 2009, indicators of Return on Assets (ROA) and Return on Equity (ROE) decreased for different types of intermediaries, with the exception of infrastructure providers.
