Authorities in central Colombia are holding the FARC’s 27th front responsible for the car bomb that killed six people Sunday.
“This is a demented act by the FARC’s 27th Front,” the police commander of the Meta department where the explosion took place, told radio station RCN.
According to Colonel Jaime Romero, the police is investigating whether the attack was a retaliation for unpaid extorion money, an attack on a police station nearby where the bomb exploded or an attack on the civilian population.
The police official that investigators established that the attack was carried out with a bomb made of five kilos of pentolite.
The attack killed four adults and two children in the village of Vistahermosa, Meta.
