According to local media, FARC rebels dynamited the Mirto Uno oil well in the Villagarzon municipality, located some 30 miles southeast of the departmental capital of Pasto. There were no reports of deaths or injuries in the attack.
Local authorites said another unit of FARC rebels set fire to three trucks loaded with crude oil on the same day in the neighboring Puerto Caicedo munipality, while two soldiers were wounded in a minefield planted by FARC guerrillas, also in Villagarzon.
In February, FARC rebels launched at least nine attacks in Putumayo, traditionally considered one of the most war-torn departments in Colombia.
