FARC queen of disguise captured

The FARC’s “woman of a thousand faceswas arrested in Colombia’s Caqueta Department on Monday, as she tried to elude authorities by dressing as a nurse, reports El Espectador.

Monica Echeverry, alias “Ledis” is an expert at disguise and often carried out missions for the guerrilla group under the guise of a nun or a peasant.

Echeverry was part of the “Teofilo Forero” mobile column, which is one of the most active factions of the FARC, and was wanted for murder, arms trafficking, terrorism and rebellion.

The disguise artist is also accused of being involved in the attacks in Palimira, Cauca, where six policemen were burned alive.
