FARC negotiator captured

Mendoza, also known under the alias Martin Sombra, was captured in Saboyá, Boyacá, after an informant led the police to the house where the alleged FARC leader was staying. Mendoza is one of the longest serving marxist rebels, with over 35 years service for the FARC. The authorities hold him responsible for many kidnappings, extortions and murders and consider him one of the most bloody of the leftist rebels.
