‘FARC’ kill 2 policemen in northeast Colombia

FARC kill police

FARC guerrillas allegedly killed two police officers in the northeast Colombian department of Arauca Friday, according to a report by Caracol Radio.

The murder of the two police officers took place only days after the kidnapping of the ten-year-old daughter of a local mayor in Fortul, a small town just south of where the two policemen were killed in the municipality of Saravena.

The attacks are being sited as evidence of the deterioration of the security situation in Colombia’s violent north east.
